ABBT Farms

We are over in Vigyan Nagar at 7-B-74. It is actually a residential area, so our place isn't like a big commercial warehouse or anything. ABBT Farms is more of a family-run effort to bring fresh produce and farm items directly to the people living around here. We started it because we had connections to some land outside the city and realized people in the colonies wanted better quality stuff than what they were finding at the big markets. The front of our place is usually piled with crates of whatever is in season. We spend a lot of time sorting through everything by hand, throwing out the bad bits and making sure the rest is clean. It’s not a fancy shop with air conditioning; it’s more like a busy hub where we are constantly moving things from trucks to the storage area. My nephews help me with the orders, and we spend a lot of time on the phone talking to the guys out in the fields. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we expected, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but it feels good to be working with real things that grow in the dirt. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just try to be fair with the prices and keep the quality decent for our neighbors in Vigyan Nagar.
