R K Agrico

We operate R K Agrico out of Dhanmandi 39. This part of town is always moving, especially during the harvest seasons. You see trucks and carts loaded with goods everywhere you look. Our shop is a practical place. We have bags and equipment stacked up on the floor. It smells like earth and grain most of the time, which I’ve grown to like. We deal with a lot of farmers and people coming in from the surrounding villages. They usually know exactly what they need, so we just get it for them. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in this job. My back feels it at the end of the week. We have a small desk where we handle the payments and talk about the weather or the crops. It’s not a fancy office by any means. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it. We are more focused on getting the orders right and making sure the inventory is correct. It gets very dusty in Dhanmandi because of all the activity, so we are always sweeping the front. It feels like as soon as you finish sweeping, more dust blows in. That’s just part of being in this location. We stay until the market starts to quiet down in the late evening. It’s a steady, honest business that keeps us going year after year.
