M.H. Mangilal Patengwale

M.H. Mangilal Patengwale is located right in the heart of Patanpole paranpole. If you know the area, you know it is full of narrow lanes and a lot of old buildings. Our shop is where we spend most of our lives making and selling things. The name comes from our family and we have been doing this for a long time. People come to us when they need stuff for the festivals, especially when the wind is right for flying. There are stacks of paper and thin sticks everywhere you look. Sometimes the smell of the glue is very strong but we are used to it by now. The floor is usually covered in small scraps and bits of string. It is a lot of hand work and our fingers often get stained from the different colors we use. We don't have any big machines, just our hands and some basic tools. When the season is busy, the whole family has to sit together and work until late at night. The neighbors often drop by to drink tea and talk about the news in Patanpole. It is not a fancy showroom, just a workplace that smells like tradition and hard work. We don't really bother with advertising or anything like that because everyone around here already knows where the shop is. We just keep our heads down and keep working on the next batch.
