Bombay Wala Traders

Over at New Motor Market 104, you’ll find Bombay Wala Traders. It’s one of those shops where you have to know exactly where you’re going because the market is like a maze. We deal in all sorts of trading, mostly parts and supplies that other people need for their vehicles or workshops. The shop is filled with cardboard boxes stacked all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a rickety ladder to get to the things on the top shelves, which is always a bit of an adventure. Most of the morning is spent checking invoices and making sure the deliveries that came in are correct. We don’t have much in the way of decorations; it’s just a practical space for moving goods. The air is often thick with dust from the boxes and the traffic outside. We keep a small stove in the corner to make tea for ourselves and the delivery guys who stop by. It’s a place where there is always a lot of shouting back and forth across the lane as people look for specific items. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but shop 104 stays pretty much the same. We just keep track of what comes in and what goes out, trying to make sure the records match up at the end of the day. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet all day long.
