Narayan Dandaka Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Meechipar, specifically near Garbengal. We work out of Smt Pushpa Bai’s house, which serves as our main point for everything we do. In a village like Meechipar, you don’t really need a big fancy office building with glass windows. People just walk over when they need to talk. We focus on the farmers around here, helping them get their produce together so they can actually make a living. It’s a lot of ground-level work. Sometimes we are out in the mud checking the soil, and other times we are sitting on the porch trying to make sense of the new regulations. Pushpa Bai keeps things organized, though it can get a bit chaotic when twenty different farmers show up with twenty different problems. We deal with whatever the land gives us, whether it’s a dry spell or a good monsoon. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated business plans. It’s mostly about common sense and making sure the neighbors are getting a fair shake. Life in Garbengal moves at its own pace, and we try to stick to that. We’ve had some tough years, but the community here is strong. We just keep going, day by day, making sure the crops get sold and the village keeps moving forward without too much fuss. It is just the way we like to do things around here.
