Government High School

This is the government high school located right on Kushtagi Main Road in Tavaragera. Being on the main road means it is easy to get to, though the traffic can be a bit noisy sometimes during the day. We have the A-01 block here. It is a large enough building, built with solid stone and concrete like most government structures in this part of Koppal. There are plenty of classrooms for the high school students. We get kids coming in from all over the local area, some walking quite a distance to reach us every morning. The playground is a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up, but it gets a lot of use during recess. We don't have a lot of extra resources, so we use what is available. The teachers here have their hands full with the different subjects and the administrative work that comes with a state school. It is a very straightforward place. No one is here for the decor. We focus on getting through the syllabus and helping the older students prepare for their exams. The gate is usually open early, and you’ll see the blue and white uniforms everywhere by 9 AM. It is a busy environment. We just keep moving through the school year, handling the repairs when the budget allows and making sure the classrooms are ready for the next day.
