Sharadha Higher Primary And High School

Sharadha Higher Primary and High School is located in the Gandhi Nagar area of Bellary. We have been here for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age in some spots. We take kids all the way from the primary years up until they finish high school. It’s a big responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time. The rooms are filled with old wooden desks that have been scratched by generations of students. We have a small staff room where the teachers sit and have their lunch together. There isn’t a huge amount of space for sports, but the kids find ways to play in the corridors or the small yard we have out front. Bellary can get very hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and there’s enough drinking water for everyone. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the kids know how to read, write, and do their sums. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is good for teaching. Parents often stop by the gate to have a quick word with us about how their children are doing. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place. We just keep the doors open and do our best to follow the curriculum every year without making a big fuss or using expensive gadgets.
