Herbarium

Herbarium is tucked away in Kottiyam, at a place we call Aarshalayam in Thazhathala. It’s a quiet spot compared to the big cities. We work with herbs and plants, mostly things that grow around here or are brought in by local collectors. It's a small operation. We don't have a big factory; it's more of a home-grown setup where we dry and process different botanicals. The air always smells like dried leaves and roots, which isn't a bad way to spend the day. We’re not into big fancy labels or loud advertising. We just know our plants and how to handle them. Most of us here grew up knowing about these herbs from our elders. We take things slow and make sure we don't rush the drying process. Sometimes the rain in Kerala makes things tricky, so we have to watch the humidity levels closely. It’s a lot of hands-on work, sorting through the greens and picking out the best parts. We don't have a big staff, just a few local people who understand the rhythm of the work. People come to us because they know we don't take shortcuts. It’s a simple life here in Thazhathala. We just do our thing with the herbs and keep the place running as best as we can. It’s not a corporate job, it’s more like a way of life for us. We stay busy enough without needing to shout about it.
