We’ve been here at 14A for quite some time now. Ulta Danga Road is always full of people and vehicles, especially in the mornings when everything starts moving. We handle a lot of import and export stuff from this office. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular Kolkata building where we keep our files and talk to people about shipping goods. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, but we manage. People know where we are because of the landmark nearby. We mostly deal with the paperwork and the logistics of getting things from one place to another. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on schedules. The staff here is small, just a few of us who know how the local markets work. We don’t really have a big reception or anything like that, just some desks and a lot of folders. The ceiling fans are usually humming all day while we track where the containers are. It’s a bit cramped when the shipments are heavy, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We are basically just trying to get the job done without too much fuss. If you’re around the 700004 area, you’ve probably seen our sign. We keep things pretty simple here and don’t bother with anything flashy. It’s just work. We keep the doors open through the afternoon heat and stay until the last file is put away for the night.
