We have our setup on Nandan Road, specifically at 32/1B in the 700 025 area of Kolkata. It’s a typical West Bengal street, lively and always has something going on right outside the window. Metsil Exports is mostly about getting goods from one place to another, so there are always boxes and shipping manifests lying around the office. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or expensive chairs. We have some desks, a few reliable computers, and a lot of tea to get us through the day. Kolkata is a city that moves at its own pace, and we’ve adapted to that over the years. Some mornings are spent just catching up on the overnight messages from different time zones. Exporting takes a lot of patience and a lot of checking the same forms over and over again to make sure things are right. We have a small staff and we’ve all been together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to know what needs doing. The building has that old Kolkata charm, meaning it’s got some character and maybe a few quirks with the wiring here and there. We like being in this part of the city. It’s close to the heart of things without being right in the middle of the worst chaos. It’s just a straightforward business where we focus on getting the exports out and keeping the records straight for everyone.
