Upto Date Saloon

Our shop is located right on Bishorpara Station Road in the Kodaliya area. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of movement outside our door. People are constantly running to catch their trains or walking back home after a long day in the city. We see a lot of different people because of the location. Some just pop in for a quick shave because they are in a hurry. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. Upto Date Saloon has the usual setup with long mirrors and a few wooden benches for waiting. We mostly stick to the classic ways of doing things. The scissors are always sharp and we keep plenty of clean towels ready. It can get pretty noisy with the train whistles and the station announcements blowing in, but we are used to it by now. We usually have a small television in the corner that stays on the news or a cricket match. It gives people something to look at while they wait. The lighting isn't the brightest, but it works for what we need. We don't use any expensive products, just the things you find in any local market. It’s a busy life here near the tracks. We just stay open late enough for the last commuters to get their hair done before they head home to their families. It is just a regular part of the station road life for us.
