Up here in New Alipur, right beside Vidhya Bharti School on Nalini Ranjan Avenue, is where Somis Glamour World Beauty Salon Cum Clinic is located. Number 98 is the house. It's a busy enough street with the school nearby, so there's always something going on outside our windows. We've been operating this salon and clinic combo for some time now. People stop in for all sorts of things, maybe a haircut or something more for their skin. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work for everyone who comes in. We like the neighborhood here in New Alipur. It feels like a real community where people know each other’s names. Sometimes the school traffic makes things a bit hectic in the afternoons, but that’s just part of being on Nalini Ranjan Avenue. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us working here, making sure the chairs are ready and the floor is swept. We try to keep things relaxed because no one wants to feel rushed when they’re getting their hair done. The clinic side of things is kept separate and clean, just like you’d expect. Most of our regulars live just a few streets away. It’s a straightforward setup. We open up in the morning, do our work, and head home when the sun goes down. It's a decent way to spend the day. We are right there beside Vidhya Bharti School, and we have been at 98 Nalini Ranjan Avenue for a long time.
