Sristy Beauty Clinic

Sristy Beauty Clinic is located at 1/1 MP Road in Kolkata. It’s right on the main stretch, so there is always a lot of foot traffic passing by. We have a couple of large mirrors on the walls and those black chairs that spin around. It’s not a huge place, but we make good use of the space we have. There’s usually the smell of hair products and creams in the air. I spend a lot of my time washing towels and making sure the stations are tidy. We do a bit of everything, from haircuts to skin treatments. People come in looking a bit tired and leave looking a bit more put together. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and MP Road is no different. You can hear the trams and the buses outside all day long. We have a small bench for people to sit on while they wait for their turn. Sometimes we put on the radio to have some background noise. Most of our customers are women from the local neighborhood who have been coming here for years. We know who likes their tea with sugar and who doesn't. It’s a friendly place, but we don't do all that fancy talk you hear in the big salons. We just use our hands and our tools to do the work. The floor is usually covered in hair by midday, so I'm always reaching for the broom.
