Unique Saloon

Unique Saloon is tucked away at 5/1 Abinash Chandra Sarkar Road. This part of Kolkata is a bit more residential, so things are a little quieter than the main roads. We have been here for a good while. The shop is simple with two or three chairs and some big mirrors that have seen better days. We don't have any flashy lights or big signs. Mostly, people find us because they live just down the street or their fathers used to come here. We open early because some of the older men like to get their shave done before the sun gets too high. The interior is nothing special. We have blue walls and some wooden shelves for the razors and powders. We use the local brands because that is what everyone likes. It is the kind of place where you can just sit and not have to talk if you don't feel like it. But usually, someone is chatting about the weather or how the price of fish is going up. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs near the door. The floor gets swept many times a day, but there is always a bit of hair in the corners. It is just a regular neighborhood spot. We don't try to be something we are not. If you need a haircut and you are near 700076, you just walk in. That is how we have always done things.
