Topwell Realtors LLP shares the same building as some other offices on Lal Bazar Street. We are at 3B, on the fourth floor, in room number 2. It’s a busy spot in Kolkata 700001. Our day usually starts with checking messages and looking over the latest property listings. We deal with real estate in and around the city. It’s a lot of legwork, honestly. We have to visit different sites, check on the condition of buildings, and talk to owners. Back at the office, we handle all the paperwork that comes with it. The fourth floor is a decent place to be, though the stairs can be a workout if the lift is acting up, which happens now and then. We aren't trying to be fancy. Our desks are practical, and our shelves are full of old folders and maps. We talk to people in plain English or Bengali, whatever they’re comfortable with. There’s no corporate script here or anything. We just tell people what the situation is with a piece of property they are asking about. Sometimes the news is good, sometimes there are delays with the authorities. That’s just the nature of real estate in West Bengal. We’ve been around this area long enough to know how things work. It’s a steady job and we like being part of the local business community. We show up, do the work, and go home.
