Toproot Realtors Llp is located on the 4th floor of 3B Lal Bazar Street. We are in Room Number 2. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, right near the police headquarters, so there’s always something going on outside. The building is one of those older ones that has a lot of stairs, though we usually just take the lift if it’s working. Our office is small and usually smells a bit like old paper and the incense someone lights in the morning. We work in the real estate business. It involves a lot of looking at old records and trying to figure out property boundaries. We aren't a big corporate entity. It’s just a few of us sitting around desks and answering the phone. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the floorboards creak in some spots. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been in this spot for a while and people know where to find us. Most days are spent chasing down documents or waiting for people to show up for meetings. It can be a bit slow sometimes, but then everything happens at once. We just take it as it comes. We’re not trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to do our work properly and go home at the end of the day. That’s how we’ve always operated here.
