The Rajkumari Ladies Parlours

Our place, The Rajkumari Ladies Parlours, is situated at 44 Prafulla Nagar in Kolkata. We are quite close to the HDFC Bank, so there is always a lot of movement on our street. It is a ladies-only spot and we try to keep it a comfortable place where women can just relax for an hour. The shop isn't very large, but we have organized it so there is enough room for three people to be worked on at once. We have those standard black salon chairs and a small sink for hair washing that sometimes leaks a little if you aren't careful with the tap. I opened this parlour because there weren't many options right in this part of Prafulla Nagar. Most of our clients are housewives or girls from the nearby college who want something quick and affordable. We don't have a receptionist, so if I am busy with a client, someone might have to wait a minute before I can talk to them. The walls are a bit bare, maybe I will put up some pictures one day. We use local products that we buy from the market nearby. It is a very straightforward business. We open around ten in the morning and stay until the last customer is finished in the evening. It is just hard work and being friendly to the people who support us.
