The Bold & Beauty Parlour

The Bold & Beauty Parlour is located right on the busy VIP Road. Specifically, we are at 369 Bangur Avenue. If you are coming from the Dumdum Park side, we are quite easy to spot. The Axis Bank is a big landmark right near us, so that’s what we tell everyone when they call for directions. The traffic on VIP Road is always moving, and there is a lot of noise from the cars and bikes outside. Our shop is a bit of a sanctuary from all that chaos. It’s a decent-sized space where we handle all kinds of beauty work. We have a few stations set up for hair cutting and other things like facials. We didn't spend a fortune on interior design; we just picked things that work and are easy to keep clean. The staff is just a few local people who know their way around a pair of scissors. We see a lot of people who are just passing through the area or who live in the Bangur apartments. It gets especially busy during the wedding season or when there's a local festival happening. We don't have a fancy website or a reception desk with a computer. We just use a notebook to keep track of things. It’s a very straightforward way of running a shop. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last customer is done.
