Thakur Hir Cutting Saloon

This little shop is Thakur Hir Cutting Saloon. We are located over in Cossipore on Banamali Chatterjee Road. If you know the area, it is easy to find us among the other small businesses on the street. I have been cutting hair in this same spot for years and I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It is a very simple setup with just the basics. We have two chairs and some old wooden cupboards for the towels and spray bottles. I don't go for anything flashy or modern because my customers just want a good, clean haircut or a quick shave before they go to work. The street outside can get quite noisy with the traffic and people shouting, but inside we just focus on the job. I usually start early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes my son helps me out on the weekends when it gets crowded. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the mirrors are clear and the scissors are sharp. That is what matters most in a place like this. We are just a local business trying to do honest work for the people living around Cossipore. It is not a place for anything fancy, just a regular barber shop where you can feel at home while you wait your turn. I hope to keep the shop running for many more years to come because this neighborhood is where I belong.
