Tara Traders

Tara Traders is at Plot No. 736 on P.B. Road in Behala. Anyone who lives in Kolkata knows how much traffic there is on P.B. Road. It’s a constant stream of buses and autos. Our shop is right in the middle of it all. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at. We deal with various trading items. Mostly things for local builders and contractors. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze because we try to fit as much stock as we can into the space we have. There’s always someone coming in to ask for a price or to check if a delivery has arrived. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well. We don't put much effort into marketing or making the place look pretty. We just focus on getting the right goods to the people who need them. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools during a quiet moment to watch the world go by on the road. It’s a noisy, busy place but we wouldn’t really want to be anywhere else. We know most of our customers by their first names. It’s that kind of business. We just take things one day at a time.
