M/S Chotelal Shaw & Co.

Our place is located at 28 D. P. S. Road, which is not far from the Charu Market police station. M/S Chotelal Shaw & Co. has been around this part of town for a good while now. It is an old building, and it definitely shows its age, but it still works well enough for what we do here. We mostly deal with the local trade and the supplies that people in this neighborhood need. The street outside is always narrow and crowded, especially when the market is in full swing and everyone is out. We have quite a few regular customers who have been coming to see us for many years. They usually come in for a chat about the news as much as they do for actual business. We do not have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just do things the old way with a pen and a paper ledger. The shelves are made of heavy wood and they are sagging a bit now from the weight of all the stock. It is a quiet life inside the shop compared to the noise of the traffic and people outside. We close up for lunch most days and then stay open until the evening. It is just how we have always done things. We do not see any reason to change it now. We just provide what we can and hope people find what they are looking for when they walk through our door.
