Swastik Marble & Granites

We are over at A-2, Rajdanga, in the Navapally area, right near the R.B. Connector. It’s a pretty busy spot in Kolkata, so there is always a lot of movement outside. We have a collection of marble and granite slabs tucked into our space here. Because we are near the connector, it makes it easy for trucks to get in and out, though the traffic can be a headache sometimes. People from all over the city come by looking for something for their new kitchen or a bathroom floor. We spend our time showing them the different patterns in the granite. No two slabs are exactly the same, which is the interesting part of the job. It is a bit cramped inside with all that stone, so we have to be careful when moving things around. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; it's just us explaining what we have to anyone who walks in. The floor is usually covered in a bit of white dust from the marble, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a practical business. We help people pick what they need, get it loaded up, and move on to the next task. It’s hard work, but we like being part of the local neighborhood here in Rajdanga. We just take things one day at a time.
