We have been running things from 166 H.N. Mukherjee Road for quite a bit. It is right there in New Barrackpur, Kolkata. The area is quite lively, and there is always the sound of the local rickshaws and people walking by outside. Our space is pretty basic, filled with tile samples and ledgers. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that; it is just us managing the stock and talking to the customers who walk through the door. Kolkata weather can be a bit much, especially during the monsoon, so we are always checking for leaks or dampness in the storage area. The building is older, but it has character and stays relatively cool in the heat. We keep the tiles stacked up against the walls. It isn't the most organized-looking place, but we know exactly where everything is located. When someone comes in looking for a specific type of tile, we usually have to move a few boxes to find the right sample to show them. It takes a bit of time, but nobody seems to mind the wait. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the accounts in the afternoon. It is a steady life here, just making sure the business keeps moving and the local builders get what they need for their projects.
