In Kolkata, we are based at the Vivekananda Apartment on Baghajatin Station Road. We have Flat Number 3 on the ground floor, which is part of the 212 Talpukur area. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels a bit different from a typical business district. The office is basically a flat that we’ve converted for our work. It’s not a massive space, but it fits our small team and all the files we have to keep. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples delivered, and we have to stack boxes in the hallway. The station road is usually very crowded with people and rickshaws, so there’s always a lot of noise coming in from the windows. We like being close to the station though, as it makes it easy for some of our staff to get to work. The flat has that old Kolkata charm, with high ceilings and thick walls. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been with us for years. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll likely find us drinking tea and going through the day’s ledger. It’s a very grounded way to work. We handle the local distribution and talk to shop owners in the nearby markets. It’s just a simple office where we get things done without making a big fuss about it.
