Sutapas Spa & Beauty Salon

We are set up at 64/1/1, Khudiram Bose Sarani. Most people find us because we are so close to the 3B and 3D bus stands. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. Sutapas Spa & Beauty Salon is where we spend our whole day. It’s a mix of a salon and a spa, so we do haircuts but also some relaxing stuff when people have the time. The 700037 area has a lot of commuters. People often drop in right after getting off the bus before they head home. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years. Our shop is quite straightforward. We have the usual chairs and some back rooms for the spa treatments. It’s not about being trendy; it’s just about providing a service that people need. Sometimes we run out of certain shampoos or have to fix a leaky tap, just like any other house or shop. We try to keep a calm environment inside even if the bus stand outside is chaotic. It’s a local business through and through. The regulars know us by name and we know how they like their hair cut. We don’t do much advertising. People just see the sign while walking to the bus and decide to come in. That is how it has always been for us here. It is a simple place.
