You have to come to 219-C on Old China Bazar Street to find us. We are on the first floor, in block B-10, so there are some stairs to climb. It’s an old part of the city, and the street is always packed with people and carts moving around. Surendra Kumar & Co. Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this space for quite a while now. The building is a bit worn down, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it’s our home. We have two different rooms on the first floor because one wasn't enough for all the files and the samples we keep. It’s not a quiet place. You can hear the shouting from the market downstairs all day long. We mostly deal with the wholesale side of things, so there’s a lot of paper shuffling and phone calls. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit by the window to get some light. We don't have any big signs out front, just a small board near the door. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we don’t really care for being too formal. Most of our customers have been coming here for years, so they know exactly which door to knock on. It gets very hot in the summer since the ceiling is low, but we have a few old fans that keep the air moving. It’s a busy life in the bazar, and we are just another part of it.
