Nahata Associates

We sit here at Turf View on AJC Bose Road, mostly just dealing with the daily pile of work that comes through the door. It is a busy part of Kolkata, and you can always hear the traffic outside while we are looking over files. Nahata Associates has been around for a bit now. We aren't a big flashy office with glass walls, just a regular space where the desks are usually covered in papers and the tea comes in around eleven. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we know how the printer acts up or which drawer sticks. People come by when they need something sorted out. It is quiet in the mornings before the phones start ringing constantly. Sometimes the lift takes forever, so we just walk up the stairs instead. We try to keep things simple because that is what works for us. If you walk past the building, you will see the sign and probably some of us heading out for a quick break. It isn't a complicated place. We just show up, do what needs doing for the day, and then head home. The address is 18/233, and the rooms get a lot of sun in the afternoons. We don't have much to say about ourselves other than we are here and we stay busy with the tasks on our desks. It is just how things go in this part of town.
