Suraj Marbles & Granites

We’ve been here at East Topsia Road for quite a while now. The yard is usually full of slabs and it gets pretty dusty when the trucks come in to unload. Most days we are just moving pieces around with the crane or showing people what came in from the latest batch of granite. It isn't a fancy showroom at all, just No. 20/1B with stones leaning against the walls. Some pieces have better patterns than others and we try to keep things sorted by color so it's easier to see. Dealing with marble is a bit different because it can crack if you're not careful during the cutting. My guys know how to handle the heavy lifting. Sometimes the rain slows us down since the yard is mostly open, but we get back to it as soon as it clears up. People come by looking for kitchen tops or flooring and we just show them what’s in stock. We don’t really do big ads. Usually, it’s just someone hearing about us from their neighbor or a contractor who’s worked with our stuff before. It is hard work, mostly sweat and heavy lifting, but the stones look nice once they are polished and installed in a house. We just keep the gates open and handle the daily orders as they come through the door.
