Sumukha Handicrafts

Sumukha Handicrafts is at 10 Canning Street, not too far from Marshal House. This area is always buzzing with people and traffic, especially during the middle of the day. Our shop is in one of the older commercial buildings that has narrow corridors and high ceilings. We’ve got shelves lining every wall, and they’re usually packed with all sorts of things we’ve gathered. It’s not the most organized place in the world, and sometimes you have to move a box or two to see what’s behind them. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy storefront with huge glass windows. Instead, we have a sturdy wooden door and a small sign. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, though you can still hear the horns honking outside. We spend our time checking through the new arrivals and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for years. There’s a small area in the back where we keep the packing supplies and a very old desk where we do the paperwork. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two or three people are inside at once, but we make it work. It’s just a normal business doing its thing in a busy part of the city.
