Our office is on the first floor at 18 British Indian Street. If you know Kolkata, you know this area has a lot of history and some very old buildings. We’ve been here long enough that we don't even notice the creaks in the floors anymore. Exporting things involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls, so that's mostly what you'll hear if you visit. It's not a flashy place. We have old wooden desks and piles of files that seem to grow every week. We try to keep things organized, but when several shipments are going out at once, the office gets pretty hectic. Being on British Indian Street puts us right in the center of things, which helps with getting around to various government offices or meeting people. We’re a small team, and we’ve been working together for years. We know each other's habits and how we take our tea. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or big ads. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. It’s just about getting the goods from here to there without too much trouble. Sometimes the logistics get messy or a ship is late, and we just have to deal with it. It’s just how the export business goes. We’re just regular people trying to do a good job from our little corner of the city.
