Our office is located at No. 15, Brabourne Road. This is a very traditional part of the city for businesses like ours. Steel & Metals has been operating from this spot for a good long time. It’s a busy street, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. The office itself is pretty simple—just some sturdy desks and lots of files everywhere. We deal with exactly what our name says: steel and metals. It’s a tough business sometimes because the prices change and things can get complicated with transport. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or art for the walls. We’d rather just focus on the inventory and making sure our records are right. Most of the people we work with are regulars who have been coming to Brabourne Road for years. It’s a lot of handshakes and phone calls. Sometimes the building gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a few fans going to keep us moving. We don't have a big marketing strategy. We just show up every morning, open the doors, and see what needs doing. It’s a very manual, day-to-day kind of existence. We like the honesty of working with metal. It’s heavy, it’s real, and it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a reliable one that people in the neighborhood can count on for their supplies.
