3, Baguihati Main Road. It’s a busy spot. You hear the horns and the buses all day long. Inside Star Beauty, it is a bit quieter but not silent. We have a few stations set up for threading and facials. The walls are painted a simple color that we chose years ago. It’s mostly women from the surrounding apartments who come in. They tell us about their kids or what they are cooking for dinner while we work on their eyebrows. We use a lot of thread and cotton pads every week. The shelves are lined with plastic tubs and bottles of creams that we use daily. It isn't a place with a receptionist or anything like that. If we are busy, you just take a seat on the bench and wait your turn. Sometimes we have two or three people waiting, and the room gets a bit cramped. We try to keep things organized, but on Saturdays, it can get a little messy with hair on the floor and towels piling up near the back. Baguihati is a crowded area, so we are used to the pace. We just focus on the job at hand, whether it is a simple haircut or something else. It is a basic shop for the local community to use whenever they need a quick bit of grooming. We keep a small radio on the shelf that mostly plays old movie songs.
