Marquis Street is a very busy place, full of travelers and hotels. This is why being in the forex business here makes sense. We spend our days helping people with foreign currency. Whether they are going on a trip or coming back from one, they need their money sorted. The office is small and tucked into the street. It’s always noisy outside with the yellow taxis and the people walking by. Inside, we have our counters and the rates listed on the board. It is a straightforward business. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a lounge. It’s more of a walk-in, get-your-cash, and go type of place. We talk to people from all over the world every single day. Some days we have plenty of dollars or euros, other days we have to wait for a delivery. It’s a bit unpredictable, but that’s the nature of currency. We just keep our heads down and count the notes carefully. Being in such a central part of Kolkata keeps us on our toes.
