Soorajmull Baijnath (P) Ltd.

Our office is in Jasmine Tower which is a pretty well-known building on Shakespeare Sarani. We are up on the third floor, room 304 to be exact. It’s a bit different from the street level shops because it’s quieter inside Soorajmull Baijnath (P) Ltd. But once you step out onto Shakespeare Sarani, the city just hits you. There’s a lot of paperwork on the desks and people are usually busy with their calculators or talking on their landlines. We’ve been in this space for a good amount of time and the furniture shows it. It’s comfortable though, like an old shoe. We don't have a big lobby or a fancy waiting room. If someone comes to see us, they just pull up a chair. The windows look out towards other buildings and you can hear the faint honking of cars from below. Lunchtime is usually just us eating at our desks or going down to find something quick on the street. We aren't trying to be some high-flying corporate setup. We just handle our business as it comes. Sometimes the lift in Jasmine Tower takes forever so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving I guess. It’s a straightforward workplace where we focus on the numbers and the documents without making a big deal out of it. Just a regular bunch of people working in a regular office in a busy part of town.
