Sobha Gents Parlour

Sobha Gents Parlour is located at 22/3/H3 on Raja Manindra Road, right across from Chancha Press. It is a small shop that focuses on basic grooming for men. We have been in this spot for a good while, serving the people who live in this part of Kolkata. The setup is very simple. We have the usual barber chairs, a few mirrors, and some basic tools for cutting hair and shaving. It’s not a place where you’ll find anything fancy. Most of the guys who come here just want a quick trim or a clean shave before they go to work or head home. The area around Chancha Press is usually quite active, so there’s always something to look at through the front window. We don’t have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that do their best to keep the heat away. Sometimes we have a little radio playing, but mostly it's just the sound of us working and the traffic outside. It's a friendly enough place where you can sit and wait your turn without any pressure. We try to keep the shop tidy, though with the hair and the constant movement, it’s a never-ending task. We aren’t interested in being a big corporate chain. We just like being the local shop where people feel they can just walk in and get what they need. We usually close for a bit in the afternoon for a lunch break.
