Our office is located at 8 Dibyarathi Apartment on M B Road here in Kolkata. We are pretty close to the Ctvn office, which most people in the area know. Since we are in an apartment building, it doesn't feel like a typical big corporate office. It’s more of a functional space where we have our desks, computers, and a lot of files. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and some charts that we use for our daily work. There is usually a lot of clicking from keyboards and the sound of phones ringing throughout the day. We spend most of our hours sitting down, looking at screens and talking to people about their accounts. It’s a quiet environment compared to a shop, but it can get stressful when things are moving fast. We have a small area where we can make tea or eat lunch, which is where we spend our breaks. The lighting is just standard office lights, and the furniture is plain and practical. We have stacks of papers that need to be filed away, and sometimes the printer makes a lot of noise. It’s just a place where we come to do our jobs at Smc Global Securities Ltd and handle the paperwork that comes with securities. People come by to drop off documents or ask questions, and we just handle things one at a time. It’s a steady kind of work and we stay until the market closes and the tasks are done.
