Silent Tropicana - A Family Salon

We are situated at 48/1 Chakraberia Road North, which is quite close to Ajanta Dhaba. If you know that area of Kolkata, you know it can get pretty crowded with cars and people. Our salon is a place where whole families often come together. You might see a kid getting a haircut in one chair and their grandfather in the next. It is that kind of place. We have been here for some time now and the neighborhood feels like home. The interior is nothing too flashy, just standard salon chairs and a few posters on the walls. We keep the place clean, or at least we try to, especially when it gets busy on Sunday mornings. The smell of shampoo and hairspray is always in the air here. Our staff are friendly people who live nearby and they enjoy a good chat with the customers. Sometimes we have the radio playing in the background, mostly old songs that everyone knows. It feels more like a community spot than a big business. People from around 700020 drop by even when they do not need a haircut, just to say hello. We do not have any complicated systems. You just walk in, wait your turn if there is a line, and we take care of you. It is a straightforward way to earn a living and we like being part of this street and the daily rhythm of the neighborhood.
