Shri Tulsyan Marbles

We are tucked away at 17, Garcha 1st Lane in Ballygunge. If you know the area, you know the lanes can be a bit narrow, but we like it here. Shri Tulsyan Marbles has been a part of this neighborhood for a good while. The space is often full of marble slabs leaning against each other. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to make space for the next lot. In the monsoon, the rain hits the stone and you can really see the colors pop, which is something I always notice. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We talk to the neighbors and the delivery drivers who manage to navigate these tight streets. It is honest work. We don’t use any complicated systems, just our eyes and our hands to check the quality of what we are getting. Ballygunge is a lively place, and we are just one small part of it. We keep our doors open and wait for whoever needs some stone for their floor or their kitchen. Most of our days are spent checking the inventory and making sure the orders are ready for pickup. It's a steady rhythm that we have fallen into over the years, and we just keep going with it every single day without much fuss.
