Shreeram Rubber Industries

Shreeram Rubber Industries is tucked away on Clive Row. If you know the area near Rajendra Prasad Sarani, you’ll know it’s a lot of old buildings and narrow streets. We are on the 2nd floor, specifically Room No-6/2 at Plot No-10. It’s a tight space, but it works for what we do with rubber products. Dealing with the heat and the dust is just part of the job here. There is always a lot of noise coming from the street below. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. Most of the guys know the shortcuts around the neighborhood to avoid the worst traffic. Working with rubber means the smell stays on your clothes, but you get used to it after a week or so. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. People just come up the stairs and find us. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the batches. We try to stay organized, even if the piles of material seem to grow on their own. It’s an old-school way of doing things, I suppose. No big corporate meetings here, just us figuring out the schedule for the day. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just keep going. It’s a real working environment, nothing polished about it. We just focus on the rubber and making sure the counts are right before anything leaves the floor. Every day is pretty much the same routine and we just stick to it.
