Our office is on the ground floor of Panchsheel Apartments. It’s located at 8/1 Diamond Harbour Oad. Being right on the main road makes it pretty easy for people to find us, even if the traffic in Kolkata can be a bit much most days. We’ve set up our workspace here to handle our rescue and service operations. It’s not a corporate building with a glass front. It’s an apartment building, which gives the place a more local, neighborhood feel. We spend a lot of our time coordinating responses and managing our staff who are out in the field. The ground floor spot is very handy for when we need to move equipment in or out quickly. Inside, there are usually maps on the wall and people talking on radios or phones. It gets a bit cluttered with paperwork and files sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don’t really do branding or anything like that. We just focus on being ready when we are needed for a job. The neighborhood around Diamond Harbour Road is always moving, and we are just a small part of that daily life. Some of the residents in the building stop by to say hello now and then. We like the location because it connects us to different parts of the city fairly well. We just keep things running and make sure the team is prepared for whatever comes up next. It is a lot of hard work but we enjoy it.
