Shaw Machinery Co.

We are located at 63-B, Manicktala Main Road, and it’s a pretty busy spot. The traffic outside never really stops, and the noise of the trams and trucks is just part of our day. Inside Shaw Machinery Co., things are a bit different. It’s mostly just us surrounded by a lot of heavy iron and steel parts. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to stack things high up on the shelves. Sometimes you have to climb a ladder just to find a small bolt or a gear that’s been sitting there for months. The floor is dark from all the oil that’s leaked over the years, and we don’t really bother scrubbing it too much because it will just get messy again by tomorrow. We have a small desk in the corner where the ledger stays, but it’s usually covered in dust and old receipts. When customers come in, they usually have to stand because there isn’t much room for chairs between all the crates. We drink a lot of tea from the shop next door while we wait for deliveries to show up. It’s a simple life here on the main road. We don’t do any fancy marketing or have a big sign outside. People just know where we are because we’ve been here in the same spot for so long. It’s a bit cramped and old-fashioned, but it works for us.
