Sarkar Gents Saloon

This is Sarkar Gents Saloon. We are located in Sulangguri Colony, over in the Baguihati area. It’s just off VIP Road, so it’s always busy with cars and bikes zooming past at all hours. The shop is small and very simple. I have two assistants who help me out on the weekends when it gets crowded with people. We get a lot of guys from the colony coming in. Most of them have been coming here for years and years. We know how they like their hair done without even having to ask them. We have some old posters on the wall that have been there since we first opened. They’re a bit faded from the sun now. The chairs are comfortable enough, I guess. We try to keep things tidy, but hair gets everywhere, even inside your shoes. It’s a long day, starting at eight most mornings. We take a break for lunch around two and eat in the small room at the back. The 700059 area is quite lively. Sometimes there is a festival nearby and the music is so loud we can’t even hear what the customers are saying. We just laugh and keep working. It’s a good community here. We don’t do anything special, just basic haircuts and shaves. It pays the bills and keeps us busy. That’s all a man can ask for. We’ll be here tomorrow, same as today.
