Our office is at 293/1, B.B. Chatterjee Road. It’s an old building on a road that never seems to stop being loud with buses and honking cars. We’ve been here for a long time, and the walls show it a bit. There’s a lot of paper everywhere—stacks on the desks, boxes in the corners, and files shoved into cabinets that don't always close right. We do a lot of the clerical work and handle whatever comes our way from the clients who drop by. Most people who live nearby know the address because we’ve been a fixture on this street for years. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back, and the smell of it mixes with the dusty smell of old books. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find shiny furniture or new gadgets. We still use some old equipment because it still works just fine for what we need. The windows are high up, so you don't see much of the street, but you can definitely hear it. It’s a busy life, keeping track of all the accounts and making sure everyone gets their paperwork on time. We don't really have a reception area, so when someone walks in, they just talk to whoever is closest to the door. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s our way of working, and it has served us well enough over the years.
