Sarama Saloon

Sarama Saloon is right here on the ground floor of Af-380. We are located on the Hanapara Krishnpur Main Road in Kolkata. If you know where Gitashree Mega Shop is, we are just a short walk from there. It's a busy part of the city, and the road always has something going on. We opened up this place because we wanted a spot where people in the neighborhood could just drop in for a quick haircut or a shave without any fuss. It's not a fancy place with big lights, but it’s clean and the fans keep it cool enough during those hot Kolkata summers. We see a lot of regular faces from the apartments nearby. Some people come in every two weeks, others just when they have a wedding to go to. Being on the ground floor is good because people can see if we are busy just by looking through the door. The traffic on the main road can be a bit loud sometimes, but you get used to it after a few days of working here. We spend a lot of our time just sweeping up hair and making sure the chairs are ready for the next person. It is a simple life and a simple business. We don't really do much advertising because most people just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. That’s how it usually works around here in Hanapara. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in.
