Sanu Parish Gents Parlour

Our shop, Sanu Parish Gents Parlour, is located at F1/710 on Sukanta Nagar Main Road. We are just a short walk away from the Cultural Sporting Club. This part of Kolkata is always moving. The shop is on the ground level, so it's easy to step inside. We have been cutting hair here for many years now. It is a small space with just enough room for the chairs and a few people waiting. The walls are painted a light blue, though the paint is peeling in some corners. We don't mind it much. We focus on the work. My helpers and I take turns with the customers. We see a lot of younger guys who want different styles and older men who just want a clean shave. The main road is always noisy with cars and bikes. We keep the door open to let the air in. Sometimes the dust comes in too, so we have to clean the shelves often. Near the club, there is always something happening. When there is a game, the shop gets really full of people talking about the scores. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. People just know where we are. We use standard tools and keep them sharp. It’s a very practical business. We aren't trying to be anything special. We just want to provide a reliable place for the people in Sukanta Nagar to come and get groomed.
