Sandip Salon

Sandip Salon is located in the Navaniketan building on the ground floor. We are on Jagatpur Road in the Aswini Nagar area of Kolkata. We are very close to the Jagatpur Bazar. Being near the market means there is always a lot of activity around us. People are always walking by with their bags of vegetables and groceries. Our salon is a simple place with a few chairs and mirrors. We have been here for several years. We mostly do haircuts and shaves for the local men. It is a basic setup. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. We just have the things we need to do our work. My assistants and I start early in the morning. We see many regular customers who have been coming to us for a long time. We talk about the prices in the bazar or the local football matches. It is a very friendly and informal place. We don't have any formal rules or polished language. We just treat people like neighbors. Sometimes the shop gets very busy on Sundays and people have to wait on the bench. We have a few old magazines they can look at. The Jagatpur Road is a bit narrow, so it feels very cozy. We are just a local business trying to do honest work. We don't use expensive products. It is just a regular shop for a regular haircut. We like being part of the Aswini Nagar community.
