Sagar Beauty Family Saloon

Down here at 35 Hatiara, near Chinar Park, is where you’ll find Sagar Beauty Family Saloon. It’s a family-run kind of place. We have separate sections for men and women because that’s how people like it. The floor is tiled, and we try to keep it white, though it gets dirty fast with all the hair and people walking in from the street. We’ve got a few big mirrors and some chairs that lean back. It’s usually pretty loud in here with the hair dryers going and people chatting. We aren't tucked away in a mall; we’re right on the street where everyone can see us. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute, but we just wait it out. We handle all sorts of hair, long and short. Kids come in too, and they usually fidget a lot in the chair. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, so there’s always cars honking outside. We have a small bench for people waiting their turn. We don't use fancy computers for appointments; we just remember who is next or write it down on a piece of paper. It gets stuffy when it’s humid outside, but the AC works most of the time. We’ve been at this location for a while now. It’s just a regular shop for regular people who want a haircut or a trim without any nonsense. We keep things simple and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in.
