Sadhna Bangla Tv Channel

We work out of a building at 32 Orphanganj Road, right in the Kidderpore area. It’s an old part of the city, and our office reflects that. We run a Bangla TV channel from here, which keeps us busy around the clock. There are wires and screens everywhere you look. It isn't a glamorous TV studio like you see in movies, but it functions well for what we do. We have editors, cameramen, and folks handling the broadcast signal all squeezed into this space. Sometimes the noise from the docks nearby leaks in, but we make it work. We cover a lot of local news and cultural stuff that people in Bengal care about. It’s a lot of long hours and late nights for the crew. The kitchen always has a pot of coffee or tea going. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll see people rushing around with tapes or staring at monitors. We focus on getting the signal out and making sure the schedule is followed. It’s a gritty, hands-on kind of place. We’ve been in Kidderpore for quite some time and have become part of the daily life for our viewers. It’s just us doing our job. We don't spend money on polish; we spend it on making sure the show goes on. Everyone here knows their role and we just get on with it, day after day, without much complaining.
