Saaj Boutiques

Our shop is located at No. 6 Motijheel Avenue. It is a quiet enough street, which is actually quite nice for doing our work. We have a small storefront and then the main workspace is tucked right behind it. You can often hear the sewing machines running from the sidewalk if you are walking past. We mostly do custom work, so there are always different pieces of clothing hanging up on the racks. It is not a massive factory; it is just a local boutique. We have a few mirrors and a small area for people to try things on, but the rest is mostly filled with fabric and thread. The shelves are packed tight with rolls of material we have collected over time. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific color in the pile, but we usually know where it is hidden. We are not big on fancy decorations inside the shop. We just have the tools we need to get the sewing done right. The lighting is okay, but we use extra lamps for the detailed handwork. It is just a few of us working here. We take our time with the stitching to make sure it is solid. It is a simple business on Motijheel Avenue. We like the neighborhood and the regular people who stop by just to chat. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. It is a decent way to earn a living for us.
