Ruhee

Ruhee is located at 2A/2B, M.L. Mitra Rd., right in the heart of Park Circus. This area is always buzzing with energy, and our shop is no different. We deal mostly in textiles and finished clothes. The space inside is quite narrow, so we have bolts of fabric leaning against the walls and piles of garments on the tables. It’s a very colorful place, but it can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We spend most of our time measuring out cloth or checking the stitching on new pieces. M.L. Mitra Road is a busy street, and the noise from the buses and taxis never really stops. We have a small fan that rattles in the corner, trying to keep the air moving during the humid days. The floor is made of old tiles that have some cracks, but they’ve held up well enough over the years. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade. Customers come in looking for specific patterns or sizes, and we do our best to find what they need in the stacks. It’s a lot of digging through shelves and unfolding things. We’ve been here in Park Circus for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite all the changes, we just keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s a simple business and we like it that way.
